    A company you applied to uses InterviewCandy for first-round screening. This page explains how it works, what is evaluated, and your rights, so there are no surprises.

    How it works

    STEP 1

    Open your link

    You will receive a secure link from the employer. It works in a normal browser on a laptop or phone; there is nothing to install.

    STEP 2

    Check your setup

    Find a quiet spot, allow microphone (and camera, if the employer requires it), and run the quick audio check.

    STEP 3

    Have a conversation

    The AI interviewer introduces itself, asks questions about your experience, and follows up like a person would. Take your time; there is no trick.

    STEP 4

    Finish in 15–30 minutes

    Most interviews take 15 to 30 minutes. The employer's recruiting team reviews the transcript and scorecard and follows up with next steps.

    Tips for doing well

    • Answer with specific examples: what the situation was, what you did, and what happened.
    • If a question is unclear, say so. The interviewer will rephrase.
    • It is fine to pause and think. Silence is not penalized.
    • Speak in whichever supported language you are most comfortable in; the employer can read the transcript in theirs.
    • Treat it like a phone screen with a recruiter: honest, concrete, and conversational.

    Your rights

    • You are told up front that the interviewer is an AI and that the session is recorded.
    • A human reviews your interview; the AI does not make the decision.
    • You can request an accommodation or a human interview from the employer.
    • You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.
